Mountain Conference Tournament results

On the same day that Chestnut Ridge was becoming the first team from District 5 to wrestle for the PIAA team title, its junior high program won the Mountain Conference tournament at Conemaugh Township. While the Lions only had one champ (122-pounder Jared McGill, who also was named OW), they had a number of placewinners. If the current group of Ridge varsity wrestlers are any indication, those third- and fourth-place finishers at the Mountain Conference tournament will continue to improve and be regional and state contenders in a few years.
The top four teams in the Mountain Conference tournament were all from District 5. I couldn't get team standings, but I was able to get the top four, and placewinners at each weight.
