  3. Ha! So much for anonymity to the first poster. I could tell right away who wrote that! And thanks for the kind words. Merry Christmas to you, too.

  4. Anonymous No. 2, I too did a double take when I saw that Hixson was the top-ranked heavyweight in the state, but after seeing your comment, I did a little research. Here are the 285-pound placewinners from Hershey last season.
    1. Rizzo (now at 220).
    2. Tillett (was a senior).
    3. Tarley (senior).
    4. Yahner (senior).
    5. Ancheff (senior).
    6. Daley (now at 220).
    7. HIXSON.
    8. Morris (senior).
So, while I'm not sure I'd bet on him winning a state title this year, it's easy to see why Hixson is ranked No. 1 until someone shows he should not be.

  5. AA rankings are gonna change drastically after these weeks southmoreland tournament. Looking at possible match ups Nolf vs. Roberts is gonna be epic Cody Law will show his dominance at 160 and at 152 Doak Blairsvilles stud freshman will clash with Mizia from Bentworh #3 and Copeland #1 . I've seen that kid wrestle he could beat both of them. Its gonna be awesome!

  6. Yeah, I tried doing some local rankings of my own, but it's so hard to tell anything this early in the season.
I'll definitely keep my eye on Doak. Haven't seen him yet, but have heard the name for a few years. Still, beating Mizia AND Copeland in the same tournament is a pretty tall task, especially for a freshman.
