Recapping the weekend

It's been tough to find some time to get back to the blog after a very long day at Penn Cambria on Saturday.
Here's a quick glance at two other tournaments involving local teams:

King of the Mountain
Mifflin County finished third behind Bethlehem Catholic and Greater Latrobe. Central Mountain was in ninth place. Bellefonte was 15th, one spot ahead of Huntingdon. Penns Valley was 30th, just in front of Bedford. PennLive has full brackets and results

Jarvis Memorial tournament
Chestnut Ridge won the team title with 246 points, easily outdistancing second-place Muncy, which had 18.5. Here's The (Towanda) Daily Review's story on the tournament. 
By my count, the Lions went an impressive 47-18 in individual bouts at the tournament. Some notable performances:
106 – Dylan Williams (5-0, 4 falls)
113 – Aaron Burkett (5-0, 2 falls, 2 tech. falls, 1 major)
126 – Justin McCoy (5-0, 2 falls, 2 tech. falls)
145 – Derrick Claar (4-1 , losing by fall to Muncy's Cameron Good)
160 – Trent Crouse (5-0, 3 falls)
182 – Brandon Clark is listed as having only wrestled one match
195 – Conner Buttry (5-0, 3 falls)
285 – Landon Kensinger, not Shane Davis (2-3)

    Typo in Muncy score :-)

    District V powerhouse Chestnut Ridge captured the team title with 246 points, followed by Muncy with 180.5 points
