WestPAC Tournament final results

And we're done. Berlin Brothersvalley takes nine of 14 titles; North Star claims four and Meyersdale gets one. Conemaugh Township, Portage and Shade get shut out.
There are only 93 bouts total and 106 and 113 each only had two wrestlers, so it went very quickly.
Some noteworthy moments:

• Conemaugh Township is missing Aaron Griffith and Nathaniel Thomas. Griffith is out with an injury. It sounds like Thomas just didn't show up.
• Joe Swank of Berlin Brothersvalley only beat North Star's Chris Baker 2-1. I didn't see much of the match, but I know it was scoreless after a period and 2-1 after two. Swank was unable to turn him in the third and looked pretty frustrated as he left the mat. 
• Since 106 and 113 had so few wrestlers, they wrestled exhibitions. Berlin's Kyle Boyce beat North Star's Keaton Furry 9-4 in an entertaining matchup. 
• North Star and Berlin had another exciting one at 126, as Brady Gardner pinned freshman Austin Lee for the title. Gardner was leading in the third period when Lee reversed him and put him on his back to take the lead, but Gardner didn't give up. He reversed Lee and pinned him for the championship.
• Berlin's Bryce Fochtman beat Gus Strasiser 10-4 for the 160-pound title in one of the highlight matchups for the day. Fochtman was too strong on his feet for Strasiser, who is very good defensively.
•  In another Berlin-North Star showdown (nothing a theme here?) Taylor Cahill beat Dillion Charlton in a battle of returning champs. Charlton was very impressive, as Cahill could only manage two takedowns and an escape. One thing that Cahill showed is that he can ride this year, as he held Charlton down for the entire third period.
• Another Berlin-North Star clash at182, where Storm McDonald escaped in ultimate tiebreaker to beat Jon Thomas. A couple of nice flurries from the neutral position in this one.
• One final Cougars-Mountaineers title tilt, as Shane Pepper beats Hunter Conner 8-2 at 220. I would have expected this one to be closer, but Pepper looked good in the win.
