Greater Johnstown's Malcolm Harris is lifted in the air by teammate Gervon Simon after Harris pinned Shade's James Kostick for his 100th career victory. |
What a big night for Greater Johnstown. The Trojans broke the school record with their 15th victory, clinched their first winning dual-meet season since bringing the program back for the 1992-93 season and saw Malcolm Harris earn his 100th career victory.
Not bad for a dual that only featured five matches.

Analysis: Mike Mastovich covered this for The Tribune-Democrat, and the focus was rightly on Malcolm Harris and the big night for the Trojans. But the evening's best match was clearly Wolf Otten and Trey Leeth at 152 pounds. I was taking photos, so I didn't keep score like I normally do, but I'm pretty sure that Leeth got the opening takedown. Otten responded with a reversal that took Leeth straight to his back in the second period. Leeth was called for locking hands in the third, and he cut Otten to make it a three-point match. Otten got a takedown after a desperation attempt by Leeth just before the buzzer. The match was much closer than the final score indicated and provided a bright spot for Shade in a night that was otherwise all about Johnstown.
