I've seen some weird stuff in wrestling matches, but I've never seen anything like this.
This video, taken from a match in South Dakota, shows an overhead light falling on a wrestler during a match. Unfortunately, since it's on a non-wrestling website, it doesn't contain any of the important info like, was he able to continue? If not, did they force him to default and give up six points? I mean, that hardly seems fair, given the circumstances, especially if he was from one of the visiting teams. Lots of unanswered questions. Although, it does show a picture he tweeted saying that he just got a few stitches out of it and no major injuries.
But I'm sure this video is enough to make Berlin Brothersvalley, Westmont Hilltop and any other schools that opt for the "spotlight" approach for duals to double-check those harnesses before the next match.
